We began the day at the Republican Party's “holy of holies” and continued it within the walls of the US Congress.

Today was one of the most crucial and important days of our visit to Washington.
We started it at the National Republican Club of Capitol Hill — one of the most exclusive and influential political clubs in the United States. It is here, in the “holy of holies” of the Republicans, that strategic political decisions are discussed and positions that influence national politics are formed.

The club prohibits any kind of video or audio recording at the state level, which creates an atmosphere of trust, openness, and a high level of security. The meeting took place in a productive working atmosphere, and further areas of cooperation were identified.

After that, we continued our work in the United States Congress building, where we had an extremely important meeting with our sincere friend, Congressman Brad Sherman.

Who is Brad Sherman and why is his support important for Ukraine?
Brad Sherman represents California's 32nd district and is a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee and the Financial Services Committee. He is one of those American politicians who systematically and consistently supports Ukraine.
– He was one of the first congressmen to initiate the provision of lethal weapons to Ukraine after the start of the full-scale invasion.
– He is an active member of the Congressional Ukraine Caucus, which promotes Ukraine's interests in the US legislative arena.
– He supports tough sanctions against Russia and Belarus.
– He considers aid to Ukraine a strategic investment in global security.
– He insists on the need for long-term and stable support so that Ukraine can effectively defeat the Russian aggressor.

Our meeting with the congressman was extremely warm, frank, and productive. We felt genuine support and deep respect for the struggle of the Ukrainian people.
During the visit, we agreed on an advocacy visit by a delegation from Lviv and Sumy regions to the US Congress. This step will be an important milestone in expanding cooperation, strengthening political support for Ukraine, and deepening interregional ties.

Today, we have taken another important step toward strengthening the partnership between Ukraine and the United States. Each such meeting contributes to our common goal: Ukraine's victory in the war against the Russian aggressor and the strengthening of the international coalition in support of our state.
Together we are stronger. Together we will win.
