Strategic objectives of the Association's activities
1. Supporting communities in countering Russian aggression and strengthening state resilience
The Association provides joint support to communities in Lviv and Sumy regions in countering Russian aggression, helps strengthen the resilience of border areas, and provides humanitarian, financial, and organizational assistance to communities affected by the war. The Association's activities are aimed at protecting Ukraine's territorial integrity, strengthening its defense capabilities, and bringing Ukraine closer to victory in the war against Russia.
2. Deepening interregional partnership and strengthening the unity of Ukrainian identity
The association promotes the development of long-term partnerships between communities in Lviv and Sumy regions, forming joint initiatives that strengthen social cohesion, mutual understanding, and a sense of a unified Ukrainian identity. Combining the experiences of eastern and western Ukraine helps overcome regional barriers and foster a shared responsibility for the future of the state.
3. Implementation of an innovative spatial planning model
The association is implementing an innovative spatial planning model based on the Prykarpattia Health and Recreation Rehabilitation Hub, which covers psychological rehabilitation, tourism development, energy sustainability, modern water supply systems, waste management, and strategic planning for 32 areas of community life. After successful testing, the model will be scaled up to the Sumy region and other regions of Ukraine.
4. Engaging international resources and developing partnerships with European communities
The association promotes the mobilization of international technical, financial, and expert assistance for infrastructure reconstruction and economic and social development in communities. Its activities are aimed at forming sustainable partnerships with European partner communities and implementing joint projects in the areas of security, energy sustainability, social protection, education, and innovative development. International cooperation provides communities with access to modern practices and support, strengthening their integration into the European space.
